About Me
Hi! I’m Rachel — a mom of four and a Registered Dietitian dedicated to helping families raise whole, happy, healthy humans with a confident relationship with food.
Through my work with families and my deep passion for the microbiome, I’ve learned that children thrive when eating feels positive, pressure-free, and rooted in curiosity. One of the most powerful things we can do for our kids’ health is to feed their gut microbes, too. A diverse range of plants — fruits, veggies, beans, nuts, seeds, herbs, and whole grains — helps cultivate a strong, balanced microbiome, which plays a central role in reducing inflammation, supporting immunity, stabilizing mood, and laying the foundation for lifelong health.
When we create an environment where kids are encouraged to explore foods instead of mealtimes turning into negotiations and pressure, they naturally become more open, capable, and adventurous eaters. This approach also reduces the control-and-pressure dynamic around food — a dynamic linked to disordered eating behaviors that affect millions of children and teens in the U.S.
I also believe that food should be enjoyed — not moralized, judged, or tied to guilt. The diet culture many of us grew up with has no place at our dinner tables. Our kids deserve a childhood where food feels safe, joyful, and connected.
And beyond our own homes, I believe deeply that every child deserves nourishment. That’s why Plant Powered Kidz has partnered with Feeding America — so that each purchase not only supports your family’s journey, but also helps provide meals to children in need. Because raising healthy kids is a community effort, and no child should be left behind.
Plant Powered Kidz was born from these beliefs: that simple, playful tools can empower families, reduce stress, and make nourishing our kids something we actually look forward to.
I’m so grateful you’re here.
Let’s raise curious, confident eaters together — and make an impact that reaches far beyond our own tables.
From our family to yours,
XO, Rachel
